What a sign-up form gives you

Every workspace has its own public sign-up page: a link to put in your signature, bio, or behind a QR code, without needing any website. The same endpoint also accepts a form on your site — an ordinary <form>, which works even without JavaScript.
Nobody enters without clicking
The sign-up stays pending until the click in the confirmation email. Until that happens, the address is not included in any campaign: that's what keeps bots and typos out of your list.
Ask for what you need
Beyond the email address, a form can collect a first name and the custom fields you created for your workspace — the city, the sector, whatever you want. Every sign-up arrives organized, and the tags you chose are applied automatically.
The origin stays attached
Form, import, API, or manual entry: the sign-up method is recorded with the subscriber, and it appears in your list export.

The day someone asks where this address came from

A decision you don't see
Your form never reveals who is on the list
Whether an address is unknown, already subscribed, or permanently gone, the form returns exactly the same message. This is deliberate: a form that said 'already subscribed' would become a tool for verifying whether a given person is on your list, one address at a time.
In the same spirit, beyond eight sign-ups in ten minutes from the same IP address, the door closes — and a field that only bots see causes a ‘thank you’ without writing anything. It’s open for your readers, not for a script.
When someone comes back
Someone who unsubscribed, or who reported a message as spam, doesn’t get back in through this door: their exit takes priority over the form, and nothing is written. To reopen it, you must remove their address from your suppression list, then they must sign up again themselves.
Someone who signed up without ever confirming receives a new confirmation email. They say yes again, and it's that date that counts. Nothing reactivates silently on the strength of a form.
